Way to go woman! We have a NEW world’s record for highest pole vault jump! That’s an amazing accomplishment this day in age! Her name is Jenn Suhr and she’s already an Olympic champ, but there was somthing special in the NM air because she leaped a stunning 5.02 meters, managing to set a new women’s pole vault world record! WOW! It all went down in Albuquerque, NM, last night.

“I was in a groove tonight,” Suhr told reporters, “I knew some big things could happen, I just need to be healthy and come down the runway, I’m glad that I got 5 meters out of the way, (with the) 5.02, because it is a mental barrier.”

Suhr’s London Olympic debute resulted in a disappointing bronze, but with a hops like this, watch out Russia!

“I knew if I could execute and stay focused and listen to the instructions I had that it could happen,” Suhr said of her record jump, I guess I knew where I was in my training, I just wasn’t going to let everyone else know.”

I really enjoyed watching the Olympics! It’s a shame they only go off once every four years!
