You can start shaking your head now. Police arrested two male teens, only described as black, in the shooting death of a former college star volleyball player in St. Louis. Cops say it was a botched robbery attempt.
Megan Boken, 23, was killed while sitting inside her vehicle, she was in St. Louis to play in an annual alumni volleyball game.
The idiots, both 18, from St. Louis, will be formal charged on Friday, according to local news.
“She’ll be remembered as an unbelievable teammate. She played on championship teams, but she was that teammate that kept everybody together,” St. Louis University’s athletic director Chris May told MyFoxChicago.com.
Funeral services for Boken were held Thursday morning in Wheaton, Ill.
“I understand that the St. Louis Police Department apprehended several suspects in this case,” Boken’s father, Paul Boken, said in a statement to local news. “We are gratified with the progress in this case and with the efforts of the St Louis Police Department.”
