San Clemente, California. – Authorities are investigating the spontaneous combustion of rocks that a woman put in her pocket while on walking on the beach. The woman landed in a hospital with third-degree burns.
The Lady’s kids picked up some rocks they found on a beach area of San Clemente, Ca., and then gave them to mom for safe keeping. At some point the seemingly common rocks ignited, catching her clothing on fire and causing substantial burns as her horrified family watched.
The woman, “stopped, dropped and rolled” but that only made matters worse as the motion pressed and ground the burning rocks into her skin. Her hubby tried to help but also ended up with second degree burns on his hands.
It could take at least a week to finish the investigation said the Health Care Agency, the agency employed to investigate the strange occurrence.
