Over the weekend, Madonna made a surprise appearance at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, FL, to promote her new album “MDNA”.
In this video, Madonna shows up on the main stage at the festival, just before DJ Avicii comes out to play his set. Madonna chats with the audience on the microphone, telling them she ‘has always loved dance music’ and that she’s ‘been to the festival “in spirit” for many years’, implying that she has wanted to be there but never showed. She then asks the crowd if they have ‘seen “Molly”?’, which basically means ‘have you taken ecstasy’? The crowd responds with cheers, and that’s when Avicii comes onto the stage, and gets behind the decks.
Madonna joins Avicii behind the decks, as he starts spinning his first song, which is Madonna’s single- “Girl Gone Wild”. Madonna looks like an excited kid- clapping, smiling and dancing, as she and Avicii stand together, taking in the energy and excitement from the large crowd.
Madonna really seems to be enjoying the (EDM) Electronic Dance Music scene, and it’s kind of too bad that she missed the festival for so many years. I went a few years ago, and it could very well be the best time your life- you should check it out!v>
