KONY 2012 Co-Founder Snaps! Streaking in Public

If anyone knows how to get the world’s attention it’s the “KONY 2012″ Invisible Children company.

KONY 2012 a.k.a. Invisible Children, was a massive overnight Internet viral sensation, that got well-known celebrities’ attention, and got peoples’ wallets to open like they were hypnotized.

KONY 2012 has been called out to be a scam by truth-seekers like Alex Jones (see video here), and now, KONY co-founder Jason Russell, is making us re-question KONY 2012 again, after the stunt he pulled yesterday in broad daylight.

Russell was exhibiting such an extreme amount of strange and unusual behavior in public, at Pacific Beach, San Diego, that police were called by various people to come out and check on Russell.

Various calls came into the San Diego police station around 11:30 a.m. saying that they saw ‘a man’ (Russell) running through the streets in his underwear- screaming, vandalizing cars and worst of all- in public! At another point, a bystander said that Russell had taken his underwear completely off. (See Video of Russell HERE)

An SDPD spokesperson said that he was detained, but not put in jail, because he was acting so strange and bizarre to the point where the SDP thought he needed mental help right away. The police then took him to medical treatment center.

“Due to the nature of the detention, he [Russell] was not arrested,” Lt. Andra Brown said. “During the evaluation we learned we probably needed to take him to a medical facility because of statements he was saying.”

Invisible Children CEO Ben Keesey released this statement of what ‘was really going on with Russell’: “Jason Russell was unfortunately hospitalized yesterday suffering from exhaustion, dehydration, and malnutrition. He is now receiving medical care and is focused on getting better. The past two weeks have taken a severe emotional toll on all of us, Jason especially, and that toll manifested itself in an unfortunate incident yesterday.”

Could someone go totally haywire simply from exhaustion? Shouldn’t he be happy with all of the success of the KONY 2012 campaign?
