Co-founder of Google, Larry Page, will be replacing current CEO Eric Schmidt. Schmidt has been CEO at Google since 2001, but Page wants to get his hands dirty again and ‘take over day-to-day operations’. Schmidt will then become Google’s executive chairman. The move will take effect on April 4, 2011.
Schmidt stated that Google will be streamlining things by “elevating me and having Larry running things day to day.”
I’m getting amped up about the Google movie “Googled: The End of The World As We Know It”. Details here!
