Sad day in sports as we learn of the passing of Manute Bol, one of the most loved as well as one of the tallest basketball players to ever shoot pro hoops. Manute Bol was a joy to watch play the game, all 7-feet-7 inches and 225 pounds of the mountain of a man.
Known as the Dinka Dunker, Bol played with Washington Bullets, Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers and Miami Heat over his 10 years in the NBA.
Bol was also a prolific giver, donating large portions of his NBA earnings to his home country of Sudan.
Bol also had a fun post B-Ball career, participating in a boxing match against Football player William “The Refrigerator” Perry, Bol won that fight.
University of Virginia Medical Center has not disclosed the cause of death, Manute Bol was 47 years-old.

I would be snarky about a F#%King celebrity conking after getting paid eighteen fartloads of dollars, but this man seemed to actually live for the good of others. I hope he will be remembered fondly by many, and that his work will continue. Now back to my regularly scheduled snippiness.
Howard's offensive game is still extremely under-developed, and by the looks of it as late, he's not getting any better offensively. Charles Barkley was a multi-dimensional player, who undersized was still a beast in the post. Barkley could also step out and shoot the jumper, and a three at times in his career.
