Remake of ‘Conan the Barbarian’ in the Works, Who Will Play Conan?

One of my favorite early 80′s movies, ‘Conan the Barbarian’, originally starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, is in the works to come back as a ‘remake.’

Director Brett Ratner signed on to direct the remake of Conan the Barbarian, but now decided he has too many projects (God of War, Beverly Hills Cop 4, Youngblood, a Hugh Hefner biopic and Trump Heist) on his plate to direct Conan.

Rumor in Hollywood first said director James McTeigue who directed V For Vendetta, will take Brett’s place. Now the word is out that a few more directors are up for the job:
Neil Marshall,who directed Dog Soldiers and Doomsday; Brotherhood of the Wolf and Silent Hill director Christophe Gans and Pathfinderdirector Marcus Nispel.

Wonder why the original writer and director of Conan, John Milius, isn’t mentioned??
Will Arnold and James Earl Jones make a return appearance?
OH, and please don’t cast The Rock for Conan’s part ;)
Who would be buff and tough enough to play Conan?
