I’ve known for a while that Award shows were going to the dogs, well now it’s official!
When Mickey Rourke accepted his award for Best Performance he thanked his producers, co-stars and dogs! Living and dead! Mickey is a known dog lover who credits his K9 friends for getting him through the hard times.
Mickey attended the Venice Film Awards with his Chihuahua, Loki, saying to Reuters, “My dog is very old, she is 16 and she is not going to be around for long so I want to spend every moment with her.”
It was also reported Mickey’s Pup, Loki chilled with him at a press interview at the Chateau Marmont. He asked the waitress for a bowl of water for his buddy.
Contactmusic.com reported when Mickey’s other dog, Beau Jack (Loki’s mother) passed away, he did not return to his residence for weeks, stating, “I gave him mouth-to-mouth for 45 minutes before they peeled me off.”
