Would Marilyn be okay with all of the money being made off of her?
Photographer Bert Stern, did a shoot with Marilyn Monroe right before her death. The photo shoot was named “The Last Sitting.” Miss Monroe passed in 1962, and Bert Stern is still paying his rent off of Marilyn’s photos. He has released her photos little by little through the years. He’s even released photos that Marilyn herself did NOT want published or printed! You can identify those photos by the “X” marks that Marilyn put on the “do not use” photos.
One of Marilyn’s photos from Bert Stern’s collection of “The Last Sitting”, was auctioned off yesterday at Christie’s Auction House in New York for $146,500, shattering the $63,000 mark set in 1994.
