JACKSONVILLE, NC. (THECOUNT) — Amy Minter of Eden, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim killed along with a toddler while operating a vehicle in Onslow County on Thursday.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol says Minter, 42, and her 15-month-old, Robbie Schultz, were killed after the SUV they were traveling in, for unknown reasons, exited the roadway and struck a tree.

Minter was ejected from the SUV during the violent crash, reports WXII12.

Troopers said little Robbie was secured in a car seat.

Minter was not wearing a seatbelt, a crash report noted.

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

The relation of the pair is unknown, however, the victim’s facebook page depicts a toddler in many photos.

An investigation into the crash is continuing.
