On Wednesday February 6 at approximately 11:30 am Ellen was on her way to an appt for work in Cincinnati when suddenly a tree fell from the hillside next to the road directly landing on top of her car while she was driving on the road. The car then slammed into another tree on the hillside and subsequently rolled over onto the road. EMT’s were there within 3 minutes due to witnesses calling 911 and were able to extract Ellen from the car using the “jaws of life” which took some time. Ellen was rushed to University of Cincinnati Medical Center where she remains in a coma and on life support in Neuroscience ICU. There has been an outpouring of support for this kind hearted and wonderful lady and her beautiful family. The thoughts, prayers and visits have been so much appreciated by the family and extended family and friends. At this time there are so many phenomenal doctors, nurses and specialists that are giving Ellen 24 hour care. John and family are by her side constantly and will be for an extended period of time. The care and the fact that neither John or Ellen are working at this time/near future means that costs are mounting up. We have set up this site to provide an opportunity for all those that have offered to help in anyway possible. The prayers, visits and thoughts daily are most important and are making a difference in the progress of Ellen and the well being of the family and for that we say thank you so very much. John has mentioned so many times how much he can feel the support of his friends and family and that is carrying him through the darkest hours.
