CHARLOTTE, NC. (THECOUNT) — Juforest Hicks has been identified as the victim found suffering from at least one gunshot wound Monday night in south Charlotte.

Hicks, 21, was discovered shot by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police who were in the 7100 block of South Boulevard investigating a call of shots fired before 11 p.m. Monday.

Officers say following the shooting Hicks was transported by private vehicle to a QuikTrip store where police were contacted.

According to witnesses, Hicks was shot in the head and in the back.

He was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries Tuesday morning.

CMPD was called to a reported shooting in the 7100 block of South Boulevard near the intersection with East Arrowood Road a few minutes before 11 p.m. Monday. When officers got to the scene, they found a man, identified as 21-year-old Juforest Ishaih Hicks, who had been shot multiple times.source
