Troy Gentry, half of award-winning country music duo Montgomery Gentry, has been killed in a helicopter crash at the Flying W Airport in Medford, N.J.

Gentry suffered the loss of his father, Lloyd, in August 2017. The singer also lost his mother in 2007 and his brother, Keith Gentry, in 2014. Now the singer himself has died.

Gentry was one-half of the duo of the Kentucky-based group Montgomery Gentry. The crash occurred around noon Friday. Two individuals were killed. Eddie Montgomery was not onboard the helicopter.

Gentry was best known for his song “Our Town.” He was a Lexington native and father of two children.

The other victim’s identity was not released.
