A very powerful explosion similar to that which rocked Boston, has now injured up to 40 people in Prague..
CNN UPDATE: An explosion ripped through a film and TV school building in the Czech capital of Prague while classes were in session Monday morning, injuring dozens of people and prompting evacuations of nearby buildings, city fire officials said.
An explosion damaged an office building in the center of the Czech capital, Prague, Monday, injuring up to 40 people. Authorities believe some people are buried in the rubble. It is not certain what caused the blast in Divadelni Street. The street was covered with rubble and was sealed off by police who also evacuated people from nearby buildings and closed a wide area around the explosion site. “There was glass everywhere and people shouting and crying,” Vaclav Rokyta, a Czech student, told the AP near the scene. “I was in the bathroom, no windows, the door was closed, honestly, if I had been in my bed I would have been covered in glass,” said Z.B. Haislip, a student from the U.S. state of North Carolina who was in a nearby building. AP.
Controversial singer, Lamb Of God‘s Randy Blythe blasted the audience after they refused to stay silent during a requested one minute of silence in remembrance of the folks lost in the Sandy Hook School in Newtown, Connecticut.
After the concert, Blythe took to Instagram to vent in a big, big way…
“We, lamb of god, asked for sixty seconds of silence during our 1st set break to honor the dead children & teachers in CT. It seemed appropriate- it’s a goddamned national TRAGEDY. Most of the crowd complied, but several didn’t, some cursing & even laughing. I wanted to walk off stage.
I am so disgusted right now- if you were one of those who wouldn’t shut up for SIXTY LOUSY SECONDS to honor twenty MURDERED CHILDREN- go look in the mirror. You are looking at a piece of sh**.
Your parents are obviously pieces of sh** too, because they raised you to behave with no dignity. To the fans who were respectful, I thank you. I am also sorry you have so many goddamned ***holes in your community.
You should do something about that. This sh** would not have happened at a lamb of god show where I live, & that is a FACT. We have more manners. I am just disgusted. Thoroughly DISGUSTED. You yelling people give metal a bad name-screw that, you give humanity a bad name.
Grow up. Your parents should have beaten some manners into you, you savage little beasts. With that I will go to bed, say a prayer for those suffering, & hope for a better day tomorrow, because tonight SUCKED.”
“Lamb of God Management will be issuing an official statement on Monday regarding the charges made again singer Randy Blythe. As no formal charges have yet been made and the case is only in the investigation stages, it would be premature to make an official statement filled with false truths and innuendos.
Having said that, management wished to address today one false piece of information that has been included in many of the news stories released so far. Under no circumstances was there a fight of any kind involved. This incident deals with a fan that three times during a concert jumped the barricade and rushed Randy during the performance. It is alleged that the third time, security was not able to reach him and that Randy pushed him back into the audience where supposedly he fell and hit his head.
Again, until the investigation is concluded this weekend, nothing more will be released, but clarity and the facts needed to be addressed on this one reported point which is totally inaccurate.”
Randy Blythe, 41, was arrested when Lamb of God went to Prague for their show Thursday night at the Rock Café. He’s charged with manslaughter for the fatal injury that occurred at their show May 24, 2010 at another venue in Prague, according to Czech news report.
