Legendary newsman, Morley Safer, has died. He was 84 years old.
A long time “60 Minutes” correspondent, Safer had only just recently retired from his duties in the newsroom.
During his six decades of reporting, Safer won hundreds of awards, including a dozen Emmys and three Peabody Awards. Just this past Sunday, “60 Minutes” said goodbye to Safer in a tribute marking the close of a 61-year career. Continue reading
