Buffalo Radio Station Fires Entire Morning Show Crew After Compared Women’s Skin Tone To Toast

BUFFALO, NY. (THECOUNT) — After the firing of 97 Rock morning co-host Rob Lederman, after what were called racist comments on-air last month, three more employees have received pink slips.

“Morning Bull” co-hosts, Rich Gaenzler and Chris Klein, have also been terminated, as well as programming director John Hager.

Lederman was fired on March 24 while Gaenzler and Klein were initially suspended. That day, Lederman compared how he likes his toast to women’s skin tones during the morning show and also used of a racial slur. He has since apologized, according to WIVB.

The comments cost 97 Rock advertising dollars from numerous sponsors, including Roswell Park and West Herr Automotive Group. They drew scorn both locally and nationally, from Buffalo mayor Byron Brown to actress Halle Berry, who was referenced in the segment.

97 Rock’s DJ Jickster read an apology during the morning show on March 26 that acknowledged “reckless, racist words were spoken on our air” and pledged to “redouble our efforts to fight ignorance and racism in our community.”

“Cumulus Media operates from a clearly-defined set of programming principles and there is no question that Rob Lederman’s comments made on The Morning Bull Show are in direct violation of those principles,” the company said in a statement last month. “We swiftly terminated him and suspended the remainder of the show’s on-air talent. Woman Claiming To Be ‘Dr Dre Daughter’ Opens Fire On Busy L.A. Intersection [Video]

LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CA. (THECOUNT) — A woman in an SUV on a busy Los Angeles intersection, pointed a gun out the window of a vehicle while threatening to kill people. The woman fired as many a five shots during the scary Tuesday evening incident.

The woman driver, who later identified herself to police as “Dr. Dre’s Daughter,” appeared to be at a stop sign near South Fairfax Avenue and Olympic Blvd, in Los Angeles, around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, when she was observed screaming and pointing a handgun out the window of a vehicle.

The entire incident was caught on video.

According to TMZ, the woman pointed the firearm and then asks an ominous question … “Anybody wanna die now? Anybody???” The woman appears to point the gun at different cars passing in front of her … it makes for a terrifying scene. Even scarier is what she did next — unload a round straight-up through her sunroof.

Luckily, it doesn’t look like she hit anyone or any cars — and law enforcement say police eventually caught up to her and were able to detain her without further incident.

TMZ says the woman was later arrested for felony negligent discharge of a firearm, and cops say she fired as many as 5 shots. In the video, she rants “The cow jumped over the moon” … so, it appears she was having a mental health episode.

There’s no supporting evidence that the woman is Dr. Dre’s daughter.

Police said Farhan Towhid, 19, posted a lengthy suicide note on his Instagram writing, “Hey everyone. I killed myself and my family.”

Allen, Texas police responded to a welfare check in the 1500 block of Pine Bluff Drive just before 1 a.m. on April 5. When they arrived, the grisly discovery of six bodies was made.

Dead of gunshot injuries was their older brother Tanvir, 21, and their parents Iren and Towhidul Islam and Altafun Nessathe, the teen’s grandmother.

We get two guns. I take one and shoot my sister and grandma, while my brother kills our parents with the other. Then we take ourselves out.”

No explanation apart from his depression was mentioned as to why the murders were carried out.

“If I killed just myself, they would be miserable,” he wrote. “I love my family. I genuinely do. And that’s exactly why I decided to kill them.”
