STATESVILLE, NC. (THECOUNT) — Curtis Warren, 25, of Cornelius, North Carolina, has been identified as the motorcyclist killed Friday night when a passenger car, operated by Addison Oxendine, 18, collided with his Harley-Davidson motorcycle at an Iredell County intersection just north of Statesville.
The crash occurred around 8:24 p.m. Oct. 2 at the intersection of Sullivan Farm Road and Red Cedar Lane, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

Investigators said the Hyundai was attempting to turn left from Red Cedar Lane onto Sullivan Farm Road when the vehicle collided with Warren’s motorcycle, which was traveling east on Sullivan Farm Road.
Warren suffered fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. Oxendine of Statesville, the driver of the Hyundai, was not injured.
State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. The completed investigation will be submitted to the Iredell County District Attorney’s Office for review.
No charges had been filed against Oxendine as of the latest reports. Authorities have not announced whether additional enforcement action will result from the District Attorney’s review.
The crash occurred in the Sullivan Farm area north of Statesville, a growing residential area of Iredell County. The location is part of the Statesville-area community in the north-central portion of North Carolina, roughly midway between Charlotte and Winston-Salem.
Cornelius is a Mecklenburg County community on the northern end of the Charlotte metropolitan area near Lake Norman. Statesville, the county seat of Iredell County, lies about 40 miles north of Charlotte.
