STOCKTON, CA. (THECOUNT) — Lashai Mata, a Stockton woman reported missing by her family on Friday, Nov. 29, has been tragically confirmed as the victim of a fatal car crash that occurred days earlier, according to the Stockton Police Department.
Authorities say Mata’s family reported her missing on Friday morning after being unable to contact her. For several days, her disappearance left loved ones anxious and police searching for answers.
