SHAWNEE COUNTY, KS. (THECOUNT) — Kyle James Tyler, of Topeka, Kansas, has been identified as the suspect arrested on murder and arson charges following a triple-fatal a Friday morning house fire that killed a woman and two children in Shawnee County.
Genny L. Fitzpatrick, 30, Peyton Tyler, 9, and Kourtney Tyler, 1, were all killed in a Friday morning Topeka house fire that officials say was intentionally set by 32-year-old Tyler.

According to reports, fire crews responded to a house fire at 916 Southwest Warren Avenue in Topeka,around 5 a.m. Four people, including two children were in the home at the time of the blaze.
Tyler, who was injured in the fire, was released from the hospital then transported for an interview on Saturday. He was later arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the commission of a felony, aggravated arson, and aggravated child endangerment.
Tyler is being held at the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on a no-bail order.
Topeka Public Schools confirmed later in the day that one of the children killed was Peyton Tyler, a fourth-grader at Lowman Hill Elementary.
