ORANGE COUNTY, CA. (THECOUNT) — Robert Izelo has been identified as the victim in a fatal Thursday night shooting in Orange County, California.

Izelo, 19, was killed, and his 18-year-old cousin injured, in a shooting in Santa Ana Thursday night. His cousin, whose name was not released, was hospitalized in stable condition as of Friday morning.

According to reports, Izelo and his cousin were seated in a vehicle on the 1400 block of South Minnie Street in Santa Ana Thursday night around 7:30 p.m., where a suspect approached the vehicle and opened fire.

The victims were identified as student-athletes on Santa Ana’s Century High School baseball team.

Robert Izelo was killed in the shooting.

A detailed description of the suspect was not available, but a brief video clip was released that authorities said showed the person being sought.

The footage showed a person in dark-colored clothing crossing a street among slow-moving traffic.
