BAYFIELD, WI. (THECOUNT) — Country music legend Tanya Tucker was forced to cancel all of her July 2021 performances after being admitted to a hospital for emergency hip replacement surgery.

Tucker, 62, was admitted to the hospital for an emergency hip replacement after she suffered a fractured hip, and according to her publicist.

Tucker was previous booked to perform Saturday, July 17, at Big Top Chautauqua in Bayfield, WI, and will no longer attend. The festival broke the news to fans on Facebook, and explained that they were working to reschedule the singer’s performance, reports classiccountrymusic.

“It is with regret that we have to cancel all shows for the remainder of July as Tanya has been admitted to the hospital today for an emergency hip replacement surgery as an MRI has revealed a hip fracture that requires immediate attention. We truly appreciate you.”

“It is with a heavy heart we announce Tanya Tucker’s show for this Saturday, July 17, 2021 has been cancelled,” a spokesperson from the festival shared. “Tanya has been admitted to the hospital today for an emergency hip replacement surgery as an MRI has revealed a hip fracture that requires immediate attention. We are in the process of working with her team to reschedule the performance for a later date.”
