KENT COUNTY, RI. (THECOUNT) — Russell James Nauta, of Westport, Massachusetts, has been identified as the victim in a vehicle crash involving a tow truck in Kent County, Rhode Island on Friday morning.
Nauta, 69, was killed in a crash involving a stopped tow truck on Interstate 95 near West Greenwich on Friday morning.

According to reports, Nauta was operating a Toyota SUV on I-95 near Weaver Hill Rd, when the vehicle came into contact with a stopped tow truck that was loading a disabled vehicle around 8:30 a.m. Friday.
The tow truck and the disabled vehicle owner were not injured in the collision.
Nauta was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
