Little Richard’s son, Danny Penniman, confirmed to Rolling Stone that his father had died on Saturday, but has revealed that the cause of death is still unknown. He was 87.
The trail-blazing pianist and singer – real name Richard Wayne Penniman – is known for his iconic hits ‘Tutti Frutti’, ‘Good Golly Miss Molly’, and ‘Long Tall Sally’.
