According to reports, 25-year-old Nicholas White, of Corning, was operating a Chevy Aveo with Ozimok and Jaclyn Denny, 40, as his passengers, when the Aveo attempted to pass a Mazda.

The vehicle then made contact with the Mazda which caused it to exit the roadway and enter a culvert. The Mazda then rolled over.

White’s vehicle also exited the roadway and struck a traffic sign, utility pole and entered a culvert.

White was transported Grant Hospital where he remains in serious condition, reports ZanesvilleTimesRecorder.

Denny, of Buckeye Lake, was transported to an area hospital in serious condition.

Ozimok was airlifted to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the Mazda, 54-year-old George Megimose and passenger Christine Megimose, 58, both of Thornville, sustained minor injuries.

Troopers reported Ozimok and Denny were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the violent crash.

Officials believes drug use to be a factor in the crash.
