CHICAGO, IL. (THECOUNT) — Michigan State student Lyniah Bell has been identified as the teen found shot to death inside a South Side Chicago apartment Friday night.
According to reports, Bell, 19, was visiting the area when she was fatally shot in the Chicago neighborhood of Chatham on Friday after 9:30 p.m.

Police say, officers responded to the 8100 block of South Maryland Avenue on the report of shots fired. When police arrived at the residence they discovered Bell suffering from gunshot injuries.
Officials say Bell was discovered fatally shot in the head inside a bedroom.
Bell was pronounced dead on the scene of gunshot injuries.
WGN reports that Bell was home on winter break from Michigan State University. Police have a suspect in custody and charges are pending.
Authorities said the shooting was possibly domestic-related.
