SEALY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Houston police officer Gizelle Solorio has been identified as the victim in a fatal off-duty wrong-way crash near Sealy, Texas Thursday morning, according to reports.
Solorio, 32, was killed after being involved in a head-on collision on Interstate 10 heading west near Sealy Thursday morning.

Solorio was operating a Toyota Tacoma traveling near Mlcak Road road the wrong-way when the crash occurred near Sealy Thursday around 6:30 a.m.
The Tacoma struck head-on a Kenworth Truck Tractor that was towing a trailer.
Solorio was pronounced dead at the scene.
Guy Pearson, 65, of La Feria, was identified as the driver of the Kenworth. It is unknown if he suffered any injuries.
Solorio became an officer with the HPD in May 2017 and was assigned to the Northeast Patrol Division, reports KAGS.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
