YORK, PA. (THECOUNT) — Andre White Jr., of Carlisle, Cumberland County, has been identified as the victim shot dead at a York County movie theater Monday night, according to Tuesday morning reports.

White, 22, was killed and a female was injured in a shooting at York County West Manchester Regal Cinemas Monday night around 10:30 p.m.

According to the West Manchester Township Police Department, the shooting occurred Monday night inside the theater, located at, 455 Town Center Dr in York, PA.

According to police, a man and a woman were found injured on the scene and were taken to WellSpan York Hospital.

The coroner was dispatched to the hospital and reported the death of an adult male. The coroner also said the woman survived but will not comment further on her condition.

Police said the suspect fled the theater after the shooting.

Police said they do not believe the shooting was not random and there is no indication that there is any additional danger to the public, reports ABC27.

A theater employee who did not want to be identified said the theater was more crowded than usual for a Monday because many school districts in the area were closed.

The theater was evacuated after the shooting and remains closed Tuesday afternoon. A representative from Regal Cinemas is expected to visit the theater and the facility could reopen by Tuesday evening.
