BATTLE CREEK, MI. (THECOUNT) — Andre Durrell Yarbrough is being sought by Battle Creek police after one of their own was shot Saturday morning, according to reports.
Yarbrough, 30, is said to be a “person of interest,” in the shooting of Battle Creek Police Department deputy, Jeffrey Johnson, Saturday morning, Nov. 30, 2019.

Yarbrough is described as 5’11” weighing around 165 pounds.
The department said in a news release that officers were in the 300 block of Cherry Street when they heard yelling from a house. There, they believed they saw a suspect with warrants out of Calhoun and St. Joseph counties. They said people in the house would not let officers inside, reports WWMT.
Police said they had four to five officers stay near the house to monitor it.
Around 2:30 a.m. officers said someone at the house started shooting, and they found Johnson suffering from gunshot injuries..
Police said Johnson was shot three times. He was transported to an area hospital where he was stabilized before being transferred to Bronson Methodist Hospital.
His current condition is unknown at this time.
