TROY TOWNSHIP, IL. (THECOUNT) — Paige Quinn has been identified as the victim in a fatal Minooka, Illinois crash Monday morning, according to reports.

Quinn, 27, was traveling as a passenger in a vehicle near U.S. 52 & County Line Road, in Troy Township, IL, when it was involved in a collision after 7 a.m. Monday morning near The DeLong Company complex.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 17-year-old Joliet boy, was cited at the scene for “failure to yield at a stop sign to oncoming traffic,” police said.

The teen was not identified because of his age.

According to a crash report, Matthew Ewert, 43, of Minooka was operating a Jeep Wrangler U.S. 52 when he collided with the teen driver who had failed to observed a yield sign. The force of the crash caused the jeep to rollover several times, according to officials.

“The front of the Ford struck the rear driver side of the Jeep causing the Jeep to overturn multiple times,” Illinois State Police announced.

Ewert and his other passenger, Leslie Quinn, 54, suffered unknown injuries.

Paige was ejected from the vehicle during the violent crash. She was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

The Minooka man’s Jeep was headed eastbound along U.S. 52 while the Ford Escape driven by the Joliet teen was going south on County Line Road and “failed to yield for oncoming traffic and entered the intersection, reports Patch.

The 17-year-old Joliet boy was traveling with a 14-year-old girl as his passenger, police said.

Their condition was not provided by officials.

The crash remains under investigation.
