MOBILE, AL. (THECOUNT) — An arrest warrant has been issued for Lakers center DeMarcus Cousins, who is accused of misdemeanor domestic violence in Mobile, Alabama.
According to the city’s municipal court website, the warrant stems from a third-degree harassing communications charge against Cousins. No other details of the case were immediately disclosed, reports ABC7.

Cousins is being accused by his babymama and former GF, Cristy West, of threatening to kill her.
The troubling report, which came to light on Tuesday, shows West filed for a protective order in Mobile, Alabama, against Cousins on August 26 and said he threatened to kill her.
According to TMZ Sports, an audio recording leaked of what the gossip site says is Cousins threatening to kill the 27-year-old West — who is mother of his 7-year-old son — by putting a bullet in her head. In the court document, West makes the same accusation.
The argument was sparked due to his ex-girlfriend (spelled incorrectly in the TMZ report and others as Christy West,) refusing to allow their son to attend his wedding with his now-wife, Morgan Lang. Cousins and Lang were married on August 24 in Atlanta.
According to TMZ, the phone call with West was recorded a day earlier.
The exchange between the two begins calmly before the man, which TMZ reports to be Cousins, starts to lose his temper by threatening West.
