HANCOCK COUNTY, MS. (THECOUNT) — Emily Goss, of Picayune, Mississippi, has been identified as the victim in a fatal two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon.
Goss, 17, was operating a Honda Accord on MS-43 near Lee Town Road, when for unknown reasons, she crossed centerlines and into opposing traffic. Goss’ vehicle collided head-on with a Chevrolet Silverado that was driven by Michael Roberts, a 53-year-old male from Picayune.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol says the crash occurred at approximately 2:47 p.m Friday afternoon, reports WXXV.
The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado was transported to Hancock Medical Center for moderate injuries.
Goss, who was unrestrained in her vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene due to multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
The investigation into the cause of the crash remains open.
