Crook County sheriff’s deputies were called to reports of a single-vehicle rollover crash shortly before 6 a.m. near Alfalfa Road in Powell Butte, Sgt. Jake Childers said.
Upon arrival, officials found an overturned Toyota Tundra that had come to a rest after colliding with a tree. The impact crushed the cab, Childers said.
Officials say Ice may have played a factor in the crash.
Childers confirmed that the brothers were employed with Taylor NW and were heading to work at the Facebook site in Prineville.
Evidence at the crash scene and a witness account indicated the pickup was heading east toward Prineville when the driver lost control, veered into the oncoming lane, then overcorrected and began sliding sideways, crossing the eastbound lane and onto the soft shoulder, Childers said. It then rolled onto its side and slid farther until it hit the tree, reports KTVZ.
