COLORADO SPRINGS, CO. (THECOUNT) — Alyssa Mason, of Denver, Colorado, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Friday evening crash in Colorado Springs.

Mason, 25, was named as the fatality by Colorado Springs police after the sedan she was riding in crashed into a utility truck pulling a trailer while traveling on N. Academy Blvd. & E. Platte Ave., in Colorado Springs on Friday just after 5 p.m.

Police say a truck turned left from the southbound lane of Academy onto Platte when it collided with a passenger sedan.

Mason was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma injuries shortly before 4 a.m. Saturday.

The driver was also seriously injured and was taken to the hospital. The current condition of the driver was not provided.

No word yet on whether drugs, alcohol or speeding, are considered to be factors in this crash, reports KRDO.

Police are still investigating and say no arrests have been made.
