LANSING, MI. (THECOUNT) — John Michael-Fredric Bolan has been identified as the victim in a fatal fire in Lansing, Michigan on sunday.

Bolan, 43, was found dead in a fatal fire Sunday at the Lansing Eastside Gateway, 615 E. Kalamazoo St., in Lansing.

Lansing Eastside Gateway is “an incubator for small businesses,” according to its website. It refers to itself as a “hyper-local mini-mall,” reports WILX. The complex is located at the old Napa Auto Parts garage.

Firefighters battled a fire early Sunday at the Lansing Eastside Gateway, 615 E. Kalamazoo St., in Lansing.

Fire officials say it sparked around 5:20 a.m. It took crews about an hour to get the blaze under control.

While fighting the fire, crews were told someone might have been asleep in the back of the building.

Just before 11 a.m., crews found a body inside a section of the burned out building. The person, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, a news release said.

The Lansing Fire Department said late Sunday afternoon the cause remains under investigation.
