DORCHESTER COUNTY, MD. (THECOUNT) — Yvette Young, of Salisbury, Maryland, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Tuesday morning crash in Dorchester County.

Young, 50, was operating a Nissan Xterra on Route 392 west of Finchville Road in Hurlock, Maryland, when for unknown reasons, a Freightliner semi-truck crossed center lines, and struck Young’s vehicle.

The Freightliner’s driver, 35-year-old Solomon White of Dagsboro, MD, made contact with the driver door portion of Young’s Nissan.

Young was pronounced dead by emergency medical personnel at the scene of multiple blunt force injuries.

The passenger, 27-year-old Victor Randolph, was taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center to be treated for injuries. source

White was not injured in the crash, according to police. He was the vehicle’s sole occupant.

The results of the investigation will be forwarded to the Dorchester County State’s Attorney’s Office for review regarding charges.
