FRANKLIN COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT) — Brittany N. Henritze, and David F. Nash II, have been identified as the victims in a double-fatal crash in Gills Creek on Monday.
Henritze, 25, and Nash II, 32, died in a two-vehicle wreck in Franklin County on Monday after Volkswagen Jetta driver, Henritze, attempted to make a left turn onto Booker T. Washington Highway from Hardy Road and collided with a southbound Toyota pickup truck, State police said in a report.

The pickup truck was unable to stop in time and broadsided the Jetta.
Nash was seated in the Jetta’s backseat.
A front-seat passenger and her 3-year-old daughter were transported to an area hospital in serious but not life-threatening condition, state police said.
Henritze and Nash were pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the violent crash.
All adult victims were wearing seat belts at the time of the violent crash.
The driver of the pickup truck, an unidentified 28-year-old from Rocky Mount, was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
