Major Ricky Gardner with the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office said Samuel and his pup “Muffin” were located by a search team at 3:20 p.m. Gardner said the boy appeared to be in good shape with “no injures.”

(Original story) A search is underway in Bedford County, Virginia for Samuel Welch, a missing six-year-old boy who was last seen walking the family dog.
Welch was last observed leaving his Dowdy Rock Road home at about 10 a.m. Thursday to walk his white border collie named Muffin, according to the Bedford Sheriff’s Office.
He was reported missing just before 1 p.m. Thursday.
Samuel has blonde hair and was last seen wearing long pants and a blue hoodie.
