Facebook has confirmed that a distraught Turkish dad shot himself in the head while broadcasting a live video stream on their system. The suicide was apparently in protest of his adult daughter’s engagement.
Ayhan Uzun, 54, was upset that his daughter got engaged without his permission and launched a tirade against his family before put a gun to his temple and squeezed the trigger — and it was all playing out live in a Facebook post.

“Goodbye, I am leaving, take good care of yourselves,” he can be heard saying in the video before committing suicide, as translated by Daily Mirror.
Viewers of the Facebook Live broadcast urged him to reconsider his decision, after he announced that “a little later I will put an end to my life with the gun I am holding in my hands.”
According to reports, members of Uzun’s family found his body when they returned home. This is an active investigation and autopsy results are forthcoming.
