It’s like it didn’t happen, but sadly it did.

It is being reported that not one, single, solitary major news outlet opted to carry Kathy Griffin‘s rambling press conference Friday. The freakshow of a presser included antics from paid advocate, attorney Lisa Bloom, who damn well earned her pay by viciously defending the comedian.

The press conference ran the gamut. Griffin would at times laugh hysterically and then switch to playing the victim. All while delivering a scathing commentary on President Trump and his family. And it didn’t stop there.

“I don’t think I will have a career after this,” Griffin said while hammering tears.

And she might be right, as none of the networks bothered to give Griffin any more airtime. Which says a lot, considering it surely would have been widely watched. Press outlets usually have no discretion when it comes to airing ad dollar winning trainwrecks. Fox News livestreamed the event on their webpage.

“I’m not afraid of Donald Trump,” Griffin said. “He’s a bully. I’ve dealt with white guys trying to keep me down my entire career. I had learned over the years that sometimes when you do standup, people want a joke that’s out there and a little crazy. I feel horrible. I have performed in war zones. Trust me, if we could redo the whole thing I’d have a blowup doll and ketchup. If you don’t stand up you get run over. …The president and his family are trying to ruin my life forever.” h/t

“He broke me. He broke me. He broke me,” Griffin said, her voice cracking. “And then I was just like, this isn’t right.”

Bloom said her client has received countless not-so-funny death threats and has been confined to her home. She no longer receives deliveries or goes online. She has even got a visit from the Secret Service.
