In Store Samples of Costco Cheese Recalled E. coli

Getting that free sample tidbit at Costco is usually a good thing, however, not when those samples contain E.coli.

The Feds are warning cheese sold in five states, Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico and Nevada, tested positive for the potentially fatal bacteria and has already sickened 25 people.

The tainted cheese was sold as Bravo Farms Dutch Style Raw Milk Gouda Cheese and since October 5th was being giving to Costco customers as free bite sized samples.

As you might expect, Costco is offering a refund on the bad cheese and highly recommending discarding the cheese in a sealed plastic bag and placing it in a sealed trash can.
