HARTFORD, CT. (THECOUNT) — Deborah Cooper, 56, of Hartford, has been identified as the woman killed Tuesday night in a hit-and-run crash involving a three-wheeled motorcycle on Albany Avenue in Hartford County, Connecticut.
Hartford police said officers responded to the area of approximately 580 Albany Avenue around 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, September 29, following a report of a serious crash involving a pedestrian and motorcycle.

Officers arriving at the scene found Cooper lying in the roadway with serious injuries, according to Hartford Police Lt. Aaron Boisvert. She was transported by ambulance to an area hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Investigators said the motorcycle involved in the crash fled the scene before police arrived. The motorcycle is believed to be a black-and-red Can-Am Spyder, a three-wheeled motorcycle.
Police said the motorcycle fled north onto Irving Street following the collision. The rider has not been publicly identified, and no arrest has been announced.
The circumstances leading up to the collision remain under investigation. Detectives with the Hartford Police Crime Scene Division are working to determine what happened and identify the rider who struck Cooper.

The fatal collision occurred along Albany Avenue, a major roadway running through Hartford and connecting the city’s northern neighborhoods with the downtown area. The crash scene was in the 500 block of Albany Avenue, near the reported 580 Albany Avenue location.
Hartford is the capital of Connecticut and the largest city in Hartford County. The city anchors the Greater Hartford metropolitan area, one of the state’s major population and employment centers.
