WALTON, KY. (THECOUNT) — Robert Schulze, 47, of Williamstown, Kentucky, was killed Sunday evening after a motorcycle crash on Dixie Highway in Walton, Boone County, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
“Bobby” Schulze was operating a 2021 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when it left the roadway and crashed near Duffel Lane.

Walton is located in Boone County in northern Kentucky, approximately southwest of Cincinnati, Ohio, within the greater Cincinnati metropolitan region. The crash occurred along Dixie Highway, a major roadway connecting communities in the northern Kentucky area.
Deputies were dispatched shortly before 6:45 p.m. Sunday to the 11000 block of Dixie Highway for a reported single-vehicle motorcycle crash.
According to investigators, Schulze was traveling southbound on Dixie Highway when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve at the intersection with Duffel Lane. Authorities said the motorcycle left the right side of the roadway, struck a culvert and then crashed into a metal gate belonging to a business along Dixie Highway.
The impact caused Schulze to be thrown from the motorcycle, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies said he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating the crash. Authorities said speed and alcohol use are suspected contributing factors in the collision.
Investigators also reported that Schulze was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
No additional details regarding the investigation have been released. Authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash and determine the events that led up to the motorcycle leaving the roadway.
