WEST PALM BEACH, FL. (THECOUNT) — Eury Abreu Herrera, 33, of West Palm Beach, Florida, was killed Saturday morning in a motorcycle crash involving a pickup truck on Southern Boulevard in West Palm Beach, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators said Herrera was operating a 2023 Suzuki GSXR-1000 when it collided with a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Diosdel Alonso, 31, of West Palm Beach.
West Palm Beach is located in Palm Beach County in southeastern Florida, along the Atlantic coast and within the Miami metropolitan region. The crash occurred on Southern Boulevard, a major east-west roadway connecting communities throughout Palm Beach County.

The collision happened around 5 a.m. Saturday in the 8100 block of Southern Boulevard, according to deputies. Herrera was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:06 a.m.
According to investigators, Herrera was traveling westbound on Southern Boulevard when Alonso’s Chevrolet Silverado exited the parking lot of 8199 Southern Boulevard and made a wide right turn across all lanes of traffic.
Deputies said the motorcycle struck the left rear portion of the pickup truck. The force of the impact ejected Herrera from the motorcycle and sent him into the eastbound lanes of Southern Boulevard, authorities reported.
The pickup truck came to a controlled stop near the roadway median following the crash, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators said Herrera was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. Authorities reported that Alonso was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
According to the crash report, drugs and alcohol were identified as factors in the collision. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Authorities have not announced whether any charges will be filed. The sheriff’s office said any potential charges remain pending as the investigation continues.
The crash remains under investigation by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division as detectives work to determine the full sequence of events leading up to the collision.
