PA Woman Heather Bare ID’d As Victim In Saturday Hempfield Township Crash

EAST HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA. (THECOUNT) — Heather Bare, of York, Pennsylvania, has been identified as the woman who died following a vehicle crash on Route 283 East in Lancaster County. Bare was 48 years old. Authorities confirmed she was pronounced dead after being transported to Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital.

According to the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office, the crash occurred on Saturday, Feb. 21, along Route 283 East in East Hempfield Township. Officials stated that Bare was driving a vehicle that collided with an SUV in the eastbound lanes of the roadway.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and transported Bare to Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital for treatment. The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office later responded to the hospital’s emergency department. A coroner investigator observed Bare in the trauma bay, according to the official release.

Despite medical intervention, Bare was pronounced deceased. The coroner’s office stated that her body was transported to the Lancaster County Forensic Center for further examination. An autopsy has been scheduled in order to determine the official cause and manner of death. Those findings are pending.
