WOOD COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Jamie Allen Pickerel, of Toledo, Ohio, has been identified as the victim in an overnight motorcycle collision in Wood County.
Pickerel, 47, was killed in a two-vehicle motorcycle crash early Tuesday morning in Middleton Township. Essence Myerholtz, 22, of Whitehouse, Ohio, has been identified as the other involved driver.
According to reports, Pickerel was operating a Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle on Interstate 75 near Mile Marker 187 in Bowling Green, when the bike came into contact with a passenger vehicle, operated by Myerholtz, just after midnight Tuesday.
Pickerel, who was ejected from the motorcycle during the collision, was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
No injuries if any were provided for Myerholtz.
No charges have been filed at this time.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
