LEE COUNTY, KY. (THECOUNT) — Michael Combs, of Beattyville, Kentucky, has been identified as the victim in a Friday night fatal vehicle crash in Lee County.
‘Big’ Mike Colbs, 21, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Beattyville Friday night. The other involved individuals have been identified as, 21-year-old Joshua Phillips, 18-year-old Kaedyn Turner, and 27-year-old Justin Hughes.
According to reports, Phillips was operating a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck on Zoe Post Office Road near KY-11, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle exited the roadway Friday night. The vehicle traveled off an embankment and rolled over.
Hughes was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Turner was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. It is unclear if Phillips suffered any injuries.
Combs was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
