ASOTIN COUNTY, WA. (THECOUNT) — Benjamin Nichols, Asotin County Prosecuting Attorney/Coroner, has been identified as the victim in a Friday fatal motorcycle crash in Asotin County.
Ben Nichols, 64, was killed in a two-vehicle motorcycle crash in Clarkston on Friday.
According to reports, Nichols was operating a motorcycle on Critchfield Road and Swallows Nest Drive in Clarkston Heights-Vineland, when an SUV made a left hand turn in the path of the bike on Friday.
Nichols was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The elderly SUV driver was uninjured in the collision.
The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
