POLK COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — Garry Eugene Restifo, of Lake Wales, Florida, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday night fatal motorcycle crash in Polk County.
Restifo, 60, was killed in a motorcycle crash involving a pickup truck in Dundee Saturday night.
According to reports, Restifo was operating a Honda Shadow motorcycle in opposing lanes on US-27 near Dundee Road in Dundee, when the bike came into contact with a pickup truck around 8 p.m. Saturday.
The occupants of the pickup truck suffered minor injuries.
Restifo, who had ties to Ohio, was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
