BAY COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — Steven Chery, of Panama City, Florida, has been identified as the victim found dead Saturday night after going missing while jet skiing in Bay County on Wednesday.
Chery, 22, was pulled from the waters near Parker Bayou in Parker Saturday night after apparently falling off a jet ski on Wednesday.
According to reports, on Wednesday, Chery was operating a jet ski near Parker Bayou, when for unknown reasons, he was ejected. An off-duty FWC lieutenant discovered Chery’s body Saturday around 7 p.m., according to Florida Fish and Wildlife officers.
Chery was pronounced dead at the scene.
FWC officials are investigating this incident as a fatal watercraft accident.
